We are two distant cousins from Slovakia who grew up in the same region and studied art at the same school, however life pulled us in different directions. After several years the world eventually brought us back together.
Matus explored numerous countries such as Yemen, Syria, and the frozen wilderness of Siberia. I, Arpád, lived in Iraq, Türkiye, Iceland, Scotland and Scandinavia.
We felt the raw energy of the world: dangerous, wild, and deeply alive. Months were dedicated to the delicate crafting of the syrup from spices, tea, and citrus that carried the warmth and boldness of the places we once called home.
Reconnecting years later, we found ourselves in a small house in the middle of the High Atlas mountains. There, we drank tea with locals, ate traditional food, and listened to their stories while the hum of nature, distant markets and calls to prayer drifted through the night.
That moment ignited a spark: Why not to share this feeling with others?
That is how ZIRRÉ was born. It is more than just a drink, it is a tribute to those journeys, a way to awaken your senses, fuel your adventures, and most impotantly bring people together wherever they are. It is liquid fire for the restless and an ever-burning spark for those who dare to feel alive, like us.
